If you like to browse the beauty aisles while you’re shopping, then there is a pretty good chance that you’ve ran across Freeman Masks. The product display alone is something to stop and admire. Freeman also sells their vast selection of masks in sample sizes, which I’ve hastily purchased in the past. Needless to say, I was thrilled to see this mask in its beautiful, tall 6 Oz. glory. Alright, lets get down to the good stuff!
The Claims: This mask is supposed to clear pores and smooth skin. The Dead Sea Minerals and Sea Salts help replenish and balance moisture while purging clogged pores. Lavender and Bergamot help achieve an aromatherapeutic bliss to rinse away stress for smooth and radiant skin. Perfect for all skin types.
Sounds Amazing right!? After reading that, I couldn’t wait to get home and slather this on my face…and that’s exactly what I did. I managed to subdue my awesome kids with gummy bears, and then locked myself in my bathroom, alone with this hopefully miraculous mask. The directions say to apply the mask to your face and neck, avoid eye contact, let dry, and then rinse with warm water. I went ahead and washed my face because I just can’t bring myself to apply a mask to a dirty canvas.
As you can see, this mask is blue. Really blue. This consistency is creamy, thick, and cool to the touch. The smell…I was a little hesitant to even smell this because, hey, dead sea minerals don’t exactly scream “fresh” to me. I was pleasantly surprised though! Its not really something I can describe but it instantly relaxed me. It has a “clean” scent, if that makes any sense. Clean and fresh, but not overpowering. It went on smoothly and dried within ten minutes. You’ll know when it’s dry because the mask will turn a darker blue…and your face will feel like a statue.
After I rinsed, my face felt great! My skin felt soft and smooth, and I did see that my pores were looking a lot better. I have combination/oily skin, so it’s pretty easy to notice these pesky pores. I’m not gonna pretend to be a sleuth when it comes to ingredients, but here they are for any of you that want to know!
The Truth: I love this mask! What was claimed was what was done. If this was their way of simulating what dead sea minerals are all about then sign me up! Get your butt to the store and get this mask! I got mine from the great Walgreens and it retailed for about $4! Not bad at all for a great product like this! Well done Freeman, well done!
